Boxers like Arreola worried about Toney hurting the sport's rep

The mixed martial arts world is salivating over seeing James Toney enter the Octagon this weekend at UFC 118. Finally a boxer has backed up his smack talk about MMA and putting his skills on the line against Randy Couture. Why are fans excited? Because most of them expect Toney to get destroyed and potentially embarrassed. That possibility has many boxers worried.  "Of course, I got his back regardless. But I kind of feel like it's kind of disrespectful man," said heavyweight boxing contender Chris Arreola. "Let's just say he doesn't succeed, and (then) every MMA person is going to be like 'see, he couldn't cut it.' Every guy who loves MMA, they're going to be saying that boxing ain't nothing compared to MMA."Boxers Victor Ortiz, Shane Mosley, Ricardo Mayorga and promoter Gary Shaw are featured in the video from FightHubtv.com. They don't sound too confident in Toney's chances. David Haye and Bernard Hopkins have the same worries as well.  Much like Toney's trainer Dan Goossen, Arreola is annoyed that Randy Couture won't be reciprocating and entering a boxing ring. "Let's
do the same, why don't you bring Brock Lesnar in the boxing ring with
myself or any of the klitschko brothers? Bring Brock Lesnar into boxing,
let's see what happens to him," said Arreola. "He'll get knocked the
[expletive] out. It's two different beasts."It's that thinking, and it is accurate, that makes the whole "boxing versus MMA" promotional angle a bit of a farce. But as most of the boxing people tracked down by Marcos Villegas said, you never know what can happen with the four-ounce gloves.
