With the Arnold Sports Festival in Columbus, Nationwide Arena is jammed with stars of the fight world. Buster Douglas is cageside waiting for the two title fights. MMA fan favorite Duane "Bang" Ludwig was hanging at the Greater Columbus Convention Center today, sporting a Don Frye mustache.
Ali Sonoma was also a sight for sore eyes. The former UFC Octagon girl was making the rounds today.

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Local fighters shined while Strikeforce's Jorge Gurgel and Roger Bowling pulled big victories at Strikeforce: Feijao vs. Henderson at Nationwide Arena on Saturday night.
Hometown favorite Jorge Gurgel made quick work of Billy Vaughan, grabbing a quick standing guillotine. Vaughan survived until Gurgel brought the bout to the ground and applied a body triangle. Vaughan tapped in just 44 seconds. Gurgel made it 2-0 for his family on Saturday night, as his wife, Zoila Frausto won her bout at Bellator in California. As he made his way through the crowd at Nationwide Arena, he shouted to friends with a huge smile on his face, "Zoila won!"
Roger Bowling won a unanimous decision in the final undercard bout with a 30-27 score on all three judges card. He dominated Josh Thornburg in the first round, landing head kicks, hooks and takedowns. Somehow, Thornburg survived for a grappling-filled second round that ended with a referee's stand-up, and the two trading hard shots. Bowling survived a guillotine in the last seconds of the fight as the loud and biased crowd counted down, and then cheered when the final bell rung for Bowling, a native of Cincinnati.
John Kuhner kicked the undercard off with his first win and a memorable finish, ground and pounding J.P. Felty brutally before locking on a triangle choke, squeezing until Felty was out. Mitch Whitesel broke a five-fight losing streak by guillotining Marc Cofer in the first round. Brian Rogers put on a striking show, TKOing Ian Rammel in the first round and setting himself as an up-and-comer to watch. Jason Freeman survived an early knockdown to come back and forced Jason Riley to tap out due to strikes.

Sengoku continues to leak oil. The struggling Japanese fight promotion lost one its biggest stars when Marlon Sandro signed with the U.S.-based Bellator Fighting Championships.
Sandro, the former Sengoku 145-pound champ, is 17-2 with his only two losses coming in his last fight against Hatsu Hioki, and current UFC fighter Michihiro Omigawa. The loss to Omigawa was scored a majority draw, but the promotion had a "must win" provision and awarded the fight to the Japanese fighter. Some rankings had him as high as No. 2 in the world before the December loss to Hioki.
"Marlon Sandro is a phenomenal talent at 145," Bellator Chairman and CEO Bjorn Rebney stated. "Our featherweight division is absolutely stacked, and Sandro pushes that talent pool to an even higher level. I'm thrilled to have him on board."
Before the Hioki loss, he'd scored three straight knockout victories. The one below in nine seconds against Masenori Kanehara (1:51 mark), 38 seconds against Tomonari Kanomata (1:41 mark) and another first rounder against Yuji Hoshino (1:29 mark).
According to MMAjunkie, Sandro is slated to appear on Bellator's upcoming MTV2 cards.
Sandro won't compete in the organization's upcoming 145-pound tourney but will compete in season-four non-tourney fights on MTV2. The Brazilian fighter and Nova Uniao team member never has competed in the U.S.
Sengoku recently granted a release to its middleweight champ, Jorge Santiago, who recently signed with the UFC. The promotion recently cancelled an Apr. 23 event, is at risking of losing major sponsors and being ripped by some of the Japanese media.
